    I continually found myself asking "why" during this video. Why swap the red and blue wires? Why remove the sockets? I had to give up on this video. Sorry.

    Maybe you can also protect the inside pipes with a very hard piece of metal before drilling to lessen the chance of an accidental hole?

    I'm confused. He's supposedly showing a 2 ballast four bulb fixture retrofit, but then he ends up showing only a 1 ballast 2 bulb retrofit, saying "it's just the same!" If that's the case, then it's no problem viewing the videos of 2 bulb-1 ballast retrofitting, which he starts his video saying didn't show the 4 bulb-2 ballast retrofitting. I think the wiring to the 8 end connections of the 4 bulbs is different than a 1-ballast 2 bulb fixture?

    Hi there, I have a question I'm hoping you can answer. My two-ballast four-bulb set up has two red, yellow, and blue wires coming out of either end, just like in your video. However, my set up also has three different holes where two black and two white wires are entering (one hole on each end and one in the middle). I am guessing that I connect white-white and black-black from either end and treat the middle hole as the true hot and neutral connections?

      @@footballalt I don't necessarily have to use GE brand. They would be more convenient instead of ordering online with a waiting period for delivery. My real concern is the tombstones. Shunted vs non shunted. I've done a ton of research and still haven't really got a clear answer. When doing this T8 type B bulb bypass. Will shunted tombstones short my led tubes causing damage or fire hazard? If I wire one end neutral and the other end hot. Then use the correct bulbs. What type tombstones should I use? Shunted or non shunted.

Never Had this prob, in my Life of window ACs! Its now tilted down right & STILL makes condensation on the bottom of plastic, Directions say there is a plug, friend helping me refused saying there wasnt one. Today I will try to locate plug again, have filled in soft foam inside, no difference, continuous, we are having 90+ weather, but, Im sure we did before too, I made an aluminum cover draping for shade over it- nothing.

    Hi, this looks so much easier. I hate those plastic bags that take forever to get into place. I have 2 questions if you don't mind: 1. Does the litter robot recognize how full it is on the wifi connection 2. How deep are those pans. I have a link for those dimensions from Aldi to make sure this is the right dimensions as well. Thank you for such a useful life hack.

    You need to provide a drawing of the wires to the tombstones

  • @philipstiger4737
    @philipstiger4737 2 роки тому

    🤣You do not have to take the sockets down. The fixtures and non-shunts are already wired correctly for DEP led tubes. First disconnect power. After removing the ballast all you have to do is join all the yellows together from both ends. Connect yellows to common White from home service. Then bundle all reds & all blues together from both ends. Connect to line black. Top off with wire nuts. You're done! If you have a traveler wire, red or blue for seperate fixture. Wire to line....black! It's that simple. He's doing to much work when there is an easier way.

      I think this maybe the answer to my questions about the bypass. I have multiple fluorescent 4 lamp fixtures. 40 to be exact. I have multiple ballasts that have went bad. Instead of replacing them I want to do the bypass for led. My fixtures are old and have brittle tombstones. They're shunted tombstones with the paper backing held on with a metal staple/clip. Now I need to know. If I wire red and blue to line(black) then yellow wires to common white. Do I need non shunted tombstones?

    • @philipstiger4737
      @philipstiger4737 Рік тому

      @@keithbell8690 yes sir non-shunted tombstones for most LEDs lamps. I recommend buying a package of all new tombstones non-shunted of course. Because old tombstones can get brittle over time. New lamp= new tombstones! 🤷🏾‍♂️👷🏾‍♂️⚡

    I just buy bags on amazon. You aren’t saving that much money. The ones I buy on amazon are $20 for 100 bags. That lasts a long time. I can’t imagine having to reuse that old tin tray. Each time there gets poop or piss residue, it’s going to stick to the pan. That may start to smell or attract bugs. Gross! Unless you wash it out each time you change it. I’d much rather just buy bags and not have to wash it that often…..they aren’t that much money……Seemed like a cool hack at first though

    I use the 10 gal bags from costco, perfect fit, 4 rolls in a box. Only takes me like 10 seconds to put bag in clips. I tried just draping the bag around the sides of the waste drawer but I think that detects the sensor sometimes and stops it, so i just push bag in the clips. I suppose some double sided tape might work instead of using the clips in my case. Your idea is a great option for some, but i prefer to stick to what I'm used to. I'm about to purchase the ramp to see if that helps my senior cat.

    You just defeated the whole purpose of buying the litter robot. you can't even use the excuse that you do what you're doing because bags are expensive when you're still using a bag every single time you empty it. You're the classic example of a moron that buys an expensive product that actually makes things easier for you and then adding extra steps to make it more difficult.

    Hi Howard, check my video “Litter Robot 3 Easier/Cheaper bag idea.” It similar to yours, which I love and would use definitely if I’d found it before and not after my own fix idea. You might like this new idea because it skips the need to empty the tray, nothing falls down along the sides of the tray, no chance of spilling anything when dumping it, and much quicker. Maybe you’ll like it better, cheers! Thanks for the tip though on another way!
